Wisdom From Norman Geisler

1) "We must know truth to recognize error."

2) "Those who don't study true philosophy will be swallowed by false philosophy."

3) "The Word of God, nothing more, nothing less, nothing else" is ultimate Truth.

I could argue with (1) and (2), but I don't even understand (3).

What is ultimate Truth?

Hi Paul,

Thanks for asking!

Ultimate Truth is that which is wholly and completely true, objective and universal, and is transcendent.

The quote is claiming that nothing in addition to the Word of God, nothing less than it, and nothing in place of it grasps complete reality. Another description of the claim here is a quote from somewhere I can't remember: "all truth is God's truth".

Well, question number 2 is: what is the Word of God?

God's Word written: Scripture

God's Word incarnate: Christ
